Chris
Henschke is currently undertaking a world first Artist in
Residence project at the
Australian
Synchrotron. Working with particle physicists
and beamline scientists,
Chris will develop a series of pieces that creatively communicate
the form and
functions
of the 3 GeV particle accelerator. This allows one to 'see'
the spectrum
of light energy from microwaves to xrays and look at objects
at scales of a millionth
of a metre. Check the ANAT
Blog for regular updates.
Chris will also be undertaking an Asialink residency at Chulalongkron
University, Bangkok, Thailand, from the end of December until
February, with as-yet unknown projects and artworks to be
created.
Donna Kendrigan has begun working on a new installation in
conjunction with the
Bureau of Meteorology. This will show the
changing weather patterns in Victoria
since the 1800s and visualise predictions about the uncertain
future of our climate,
combining current meteorological modeling technology with
its historical precursors.
Our
next collaborative show is 'Rock', at The
Narrows, level 2 141 Flinders Lane, Melbourne, April
- May 2008. Check out our website for more details and previews
soon.
